Garrett Hankins - Youth Pastor

Garrett was born and raised in Okmulgee Oklahoma. He graduated from Okmulgee High School in 2004. He recieved his Associates in Secondary Education from Oklahoma State University. Garrett will be completing his Bachelors degree in the fall of 2010. He will graduate with a Bachelors degree in genral studies from Northeastern State University in Oklahoma. He then plans to find a Seminary and continue his education with a Master's Degree in Divinity and Youth Ministry.

Garrett served as a youth intern for the last to years of High School at First Baptist Church of Okmulgee, Ok. He was also liscensed as a minister of the gospel from FBC Okmulgee. In September of 2005 he felt a call to youth ministry and began part time youth work at First Baptist Church in Bixby, Ok. Garrett served at Bixby for 4 years and was also ordained before taking a full time ministry position at the First Baptist Church of Nevada Missouri as the student pastor. 

Garrett is married to Michelle Townley Hankins and they have just began their family with the birth of their first child. Noah Liam Hankins was born on Feburary 12, 2010.  Garrett and Michelle look forward to all that God has in store for their family, church, and ministry and love the atmosphere and the people of FBC Nevada.
